Armenian Mouflon

Ovis gmelini gmelini is native to Iran, Armenia, the Republic of Azerbaijan, Turkey, and Iraq. In Iran, this subspecies has been hunted relentlessly, causing its numbers to diminish significantly. The populations are now fragmented and can only be found in a few areas.
