Morad Tahbaz

The Author. The Artist. The Conservationist. The Advocate.

Morad turns lived experience into a call for freedom, dignity and responsibility.

Shaped by political imprisonment, a lifelong connection to nature and a belief in the human capacity to create meaning under even the harshest conditions, he uses art, writing and advocacy to bear witness, protect what is vulnerable and give voice to those who remain confined.

The Author

Turning lived experience into shared meaning

Through memoir and reflection, Morad bears witness to what happened and explores how people preserve their humanity, find new purpose and move forward after suffering.

His writing transforms personal experience into insight that can engage, challenge and inspire others.

The Artist

Giving shape to identity, freedom and renewal

Through drawing, painting, sculpture and design, Morad explores vulnerability, belonging and the enduring force of life.

His work uses spare forms, exacting materials and symbolic encounters between people and animals to make complex ideas visible.

The Conservationist

Using Nature as a Moral Compass

Morad’s commitment to conservation began with a childhood love of nature and animals. Seeing once-abundant habitats dramatically depleted turned that connection into action—and shaped his belief that vulnerable life must be protected.

Through animals, especially the lion, Morad explores captivity, vulnerability, and the instinct to protect. Nature becomes both a mirror of his own experience and a call to defend life threatened by power, neglect, or indifference.

The Advocate

Turning personal freedom into public action

Morad draws on his experience of political imprisonment to speak for those who remain confined.

He challenges people in free societies to recognize, value and defend rights too easily taken for granted.
